Aaron Johnson is a New York based artist, whose work presents a fluid approach to painting with washes of color into raw canvas. True Believer is a glass sculpture edition, Aaron Johnson’s first project with Case Studyo. This glowing green ghost is a mysterious being like those who live in his colorful paintings. The chosen material of blown glass brings the luminosity characteristic to his paintings into a 3-D translation. The fluidity and glow that result from his stained canvas technique are perfectly captured in the translucent aura and flow of this glass form. Due to the hand blown glass process, each is unique, with variations in color and form. She’s a benevolent spirit, a kind presence, with her three eyes wide open and reaching into other dimensions.
