This catalogue includes ecent paintings on display by Belgian artist Werner Mannaers (°1954-) who lives and works in Antwerp. His paintings are in oil, acrylic and other media. Over the last 30 years, Mannaers has become a key figure in the world of contemporary painting, influencing many important artists.

The title of the book, The Scent of Mimosa, is ambiguous: it can be interpreted as referring to the season in which the mimosa blooms - from November to February - or to the period of Mannaers' exhibition and, a fortiori, a nod to Bonnard, Cézanne and Picasso.
