Almine Rech Editions is thrilled to present its new monograph about Irish artist Genieve Figgis.

This 392 page volume features a conversation with Mara Hoberman and covers Figgis' solo exhibitions at Almine Rech since 2015 as well as the artist's works exhibited in international museums such as Gallery Met at the Metropolitan Opera in New York, the Consortium Museum in Dijon, IMMA in Dublin, and MWOODS in Beijing.

Genieve Figgis’ paintings share a similar dramatic bent as some Irish-English literature subjects from Edgar Allan Poe to Oscar Wilde, as well as acknowledged Old Masters such as Goya. Working in oil and acrylic and at small- to mid-scale, Genieve Figgis produces paintings rich in color, texture, humor, and the macabre.
