The work of Belgian artist Charlotte Beaudry is characterized by the affirmation of figurative painting revealing an uncompromising look at everyday subjects, often isolated from their context. Beaudry's relation to these objects is raw and honest. Her non-narrative approach to painting seems to favor a physical relationship to space (distance, precariousness, protection, isolation) or even familiar sensations linked in particular to adolescence - such as discovery and assertiveness and solitude.
